The following numbers were production records: Cassava 576,517 tons
a decrease of 0.99%; Suger 88,000 tons a decrease of 3.90%; rubber reached
53.575 tons, an increase of 8.93%; pepper reached 299 tons, an increase of
45.86%; coffee reached 40.108 tons, an increase of 8.77%.
Livestock witnessed stability and no epidemics occurred. Livestock
population as of 01 October 2017 was recorded as follows: buffalo
population reached 23.12 thousand heads, an increase of 0.61% compared
to that in 2016; cattle population was at 73.88 thousand heads, an increase
of 8.36%; pig population reached 132.88 million thousand heads, a
decrease of 2.12%; poultry population was at 1,102 thousand heads,
increasing by 0.92%. Production of buffalo living weight reached 655 tons
in 2017, increasing by 3.97% over the same period of the previous year;
production of cattle living weight recorded 4,415 tons, rising by 5.27%;
production of pork living weight reached 17,080 tons, an increase of
4.25%; production of poultry living weight gained 2,209 tons, increasing
by 6.71%.
+ Forestry
In 2017, areas of newly concentrated planted forests all over the
country reached 196 ha, a decline of 88.72% year-on-year, of which
production forest reached 196 ha, a decrease of 87.74%. Production of
wood was at 48,847 m

rising by 99%.
+ Fishing
In 2017, production of fishing reached 4,245 tons, an increase of
10.92% over the same period of last year. Aquaculture production recorded
2,719 tons, rising by 12.49% compared with that in 2016, of which fish
production reached 4.191 tons, an increase of 10.90%; shrimp production
gained 7 tons, increasing by 16.67%. Production of fishery catching
reached 1,526 tons, rising by 8.23% year-on-year.

Industry
The index of industrial production in 2017 was estimated to increase
by 22.25% over the previous year, higher than the rate of 7.41% in 2016
and 7.01% in 2015. Of which, the manufacturing increased by 17.27%; the
electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply increased by 29.46%;
the water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities
grew up 2.37%; the mining and quarrying industry decrease by 2.29%.
