OVERVIEW ON SOCIO-ECONOMIC SITUATION
IN 2017
1. Economic growth
Gross Regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2017 increased by 7.68%
against 2016, of which the agriculture, forestry and fishing sector rose by
5.22%, contributing 1.32 percentage points to the economic growth rate;
the industry and construction sector grew up 12.54%, contributing 3.12
percentage points; the service sector increased by 7.24%, contributing 3.09
percentage points. The growth rate in 2017 is lower than the rate of 8.07%
in 2016, but in the context of unfavorable economic conditions in the
world and difficulties due to bad weather environmental problems,
achieving such growth was a success.
GRDP at current prices reached 17806,68 Billion VND in 2017;
GRDP per capita reached 34.24 million VND, equivalent to 1,508 USD (an
increase of 101 USD over 2017). In terms of economic structure in 2017,
the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector accounted for 27.99%; the
industry and construction sector was 25.41%; the service sector made up
39.41%; and the taxes less subsidies on products made up 7.18%.
2. State budget revenue and expenditure and insurance
Total State budget revenue in 2017 was estimated at 2,130,091 billion
VND, an increase of of 12.63% compared to 2016. Total State budget
expenditure in 2017 was estimated at 8.245.274 billion VND, decrease by
4.49% over 2016.
Total insurance revenue in 2017 reached 926.99 billion VND, of
which social insurance revenue was 509.63 billion VND; health insurance
revenue reached 385.59 billion VND; and unemployment insurance
revenue gained 31.77 billion VND. Total insurance expenditure in 2017
reached 729.12 billion VND, of which social insurance expenditure was
471.94 billion VND; health insurance expenditure reached 344,44 billion
VND; and unemployment insurance expenditure gained 12.74 billion
VND.
3. Investment
Investment at current prices was 10,210 billion VND in 2017, an
increase of 18.51% over 2016 and equal to 57% of GRDP. When broken
