- Living standards
In 2017, the monthly average income per capita at current prices
nationwide reached 2,186 thousand VND, rising by 12.30% against 2016.
By using multi-dimensional standard for period 2017-2020, the poverty
rate by was 28.4% in 2017.
- Social order and safety
In 2017, 65 traffic accidents occurred. Compared with 2016, the
number of traffic accidents in 2017 declined 12.13%; number of death
declined 13.92%; injuries went down 24.07%.
In the whole province, there were 24 fire and explosion cases, no deaths
and injuries, with an estimated damage of 2,696 million VND in
2017. Compared with the previous year, the number of fire and explosion
cases decrease by 4.0% and the estimated loss increased by 0.72%.
In general, despite many difficulties and challenges, Kon Tum
Province socio-economic performances changed positively and achieved
important results in 2017. Macro-economy was stable, inflation was
controlled; money market, interest rates and exchange rates were stable.
Attention was paid to labor, employment and social security, and good
results were achieved.
