Livestock witnessed stability and no epidemics occurred. Livestock
population as of 01 October 2018 was recorded as follows: buffalo population
reached 23.75 thousand heads, an increase of 2.73% compared to that in
2017; cattle population was at 77.72 thousand heads, an increase of 5.20%;
pig population reached 143.46 million thousand heads, an increase of 7.96%;
poultry population was at 1,110 thousand heads, increasing by 0.72%.
Production of buffalo living weight reached 678 tons in 2018, increasing by
3.51% over the same period of the previous year; production of cattle living
weight recorded 4,532 tons, rising by 2.65%; production of pork living
weight reached 18,582 tons, an increase of 8.79%; production of poultry
living weight gained 2,520 tons, increasing by 14.08%.
+ Forestry
In 2018, areas of newly concentrated planted forests all over the country
reached 946 ha, a decline of 3.89% year-on-year, of which production forest

reached 893 ha, a decrease of 9.28%. Production of wood was at 133,686 m ,
rising by 10.93%.

+ Fishing
In 2018, production of fishing reached 4,763 tons, an increase of 12.20%
over the same period of last year. Of which fish production reached 4.704
tons, an increase of 12.24%; shrimp production gained 8 tons, increasing by
14.29%. Aquaculture production recorded 3,049 tons, rising by 12.14%
compared with that in 2017. Production of fishery catching reached 1,714
tons, rising by 12.32% year-on-year.

- Industry

The index of industrial production in 2018 was estimated to increase by
14.39% over the previous year, lower than the rate of 21.23% in 2017. Of
which, the manufacturing increased by 11.81%; the electricity, gas, steam
and air conditioning supply increased by 17.10%; the water supply;
sewerage, waste management and remediation activities grew up 8.63%; the
mining and quarrying industry increase by 6.30%.

- Trade, Service
Total retail sales of goods and services reached 17,002.56 billion VND in
