OVERVIEW ON SOCIO-ECONOMIC SITUATION IN 2018

1. Economic growth
Gross Regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2018 at constant 2010
prices increased by 8.10% against 2017, of which the agriculture, forestry
and fishing sector rose by 5.33%, contributing 1.33 percentage points to the
economic growth rate; the industry and construction sector grew up 14.22%,
contributing 3.69 percentage points; the service sector increased by 6.38%,
contributing 2.71 percentage points. The growth rate in 2018 is higher than
the rate of 7.68% in 2017. In the context of unfavorable economic conditions
in the world and difficulties due to bad weather environmental problems,
achieving such growth was a success.
GRDP at current prices reached 19,144.81 Billion VND in 2018; GRDP
per capita reached 35.78 million VND, equivalent to 1,590 USD (an increase
of 82 USD over 2017). In terms of economic structure in 2018, the
agriculture, forestry and fishery sector accounted for 25.13%; the industry
and construction sector was 27.68%; the service sector made up 39.95%; and
the taxes less subsidies on products made up 7.24%.
2. State budget revenue and expenditure and insurance
Total State budget revenue in 2018 was estimated at 2,808.16 billion
VND, an increase of 2.48% compared to 2017. Total State budget
expenditure in 2018 was estimated at 6,575.82 billion VND, decrease by
37.74% over 2017.
Total insurance revenue in 2018 reached 980.85 billion VND, of which
social insurance revenue was 540.89 billion VND; health insurance revenue
reached 405.77 billion VND; and unemployment insurance revenue gained
34.18 billion VND. Total insurance expenditure in 2018 reached 964.80
billion VND, of which social insurance expenditure was 547.54 billion VND;
health insurance expenditure reached 398.29 billion VND; and
unemployment insurance expenditure gained 18.97 billion VND.
3. Investment

Investment at current prices was 12,225 billion VND in 2018, an
increase of 21.02% over 2017 and equal to 63.86% of GRDP. When broken
down by economic ownership, the figures for State sector, Non-state sector,
and Foreign invested sector were 3,836 billion VND, 8,365 billion VND, and
