14,004.17 billion VND increased by 13.43%; Accommodation, food and
beverage service 1,984.76 billion VND increased by 16.68%; Tourism 5.93
billion VND increased by 9.67%; Other service 1,007.70 billion VND increased
by 10.88%.
Passenger transport in 2018 reached 11,661 thousand passengers
and 1,478,943 thousand passengers.km, increasing by 9.45% and 9.23%
respectively compared to the previous year. Freight transport in 2018 reached
11,312 thousand tons, increasing by 9.75% and 563,851 thousand tons.km,
rising by 8.89% over last year.
Total number of telephone subscribers reached 391,583 subscribers,
decrease by 0.31% compared with that in 2017, with an average of 73
subscribers per 100 persons. Number of ADSL internet subscribers estimated
at 47,362 subscribers, increasing by 14.81%, with an average of 8.9
subscribers per 100 persons.

7. Some social issues
- Population, labor and employment

The average population in 2018 of the whole province reached 535,000
persons, an increase of 14,952 persons or 2.88% over 2017, in which the
urban population was 189,742 persons, accounting for 35.47%; the rural
population was 345,258 persons, accounting for 64.53%; male population
was 281,809 persons, accounting for 52.67%; female population was 253,191
persons, accounting for 47.33%.
The labor force aged 15 and above of the whole province was estimated
at 317,055 persons in 2018, an increase of 3.00% over 2017. The labor force
aged 15 and above working in economic sectors was estimated at 314,000
persons in 2018, an increase of 2.78% over 2017. The percentage of trained
employees at working age was estimated at 48.10% in 2018, higher than the
figure of 47.90% of the previous year.

The unemployment rate of labor force at working age was 0.96% in
2018, with the urban and rural areas’ unemployment rates of 1.89% and
0.49%, respectively. The underemployment rate of labor force at working age
was 0.50% in 2018, with the respective rates for urban and rural areas of
0.43%, and 0.54%.
