- Living standards
In 2018, the monthly average income per capita at current prices
nationwide reached 2,280 thousand VND, rising by 4.30% against 2017. By
using multi-dimensional standard for period 2017-2020, the poverty rate by
was 25.2% in 2018.
- Social order and safety
In 2018, 71 traffic accidents occurred. Compared with 2017, the number
of traffic accidents in 2018 rose 9.23%; number of death declined 7.35%;
injuries is constant.
In the whole province, there were 32 fire and explosion cases, no deaths and
injuries, with an estimated damage of 4,166 million VND in 2018. Compared
with the previous year, the number of fire and explosion cases increase by
33.33% and the estimated loss increased by 54.54%.
In general, despite many difficulties and challenges, Kon Tum Province
socio-economic performances changed positively and achieved important
results in 2018. Macro-economy was stable, inflation was controlled; money
market, interest rates and exchange rates were stable. Attention was paid to
labor, employment and social security, and good results were achieved.
